1. CHIEF OF DEFENCE SPACE AGENCY - February 2015 – April 2017.
Defence Space Agency (Now Defence Space Administration) – Nigeria.


Responsibilities;

Responsible for setting up and midwifing the Defence Space Agency.
Worked with the legislators at the National Assembly to draft the Agency’s Bill and also worked with the Executive Arm of Government to get the Act setting up the Agency signed into Law. Collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Budget and National Planning as well as the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation to get Budgetary allocation for the Agency.
Duties;
Reporting to the Chief of Defence Staff; the duties of the Chief of Defence Space Agency include:

Delivery of the organization’s objectives in a timely, coordinated and cost effective manner.
Driving forward performance in all areas of Operations.
Preparation of the Agency’s Policy and Strategic planning documents.
Carrying out regular policy reviews and agreeing on improvement plans with superior authorities.
Managing and leading management teams.
Effectively managing the range of directors that report to this role.
Responsible for the budgetary and cost control for the Agency.
Producing periodic reports to superior authority in written and presentation formats.
Acting upon requests from superior authority in an efficient manner.
Ensuring that assets are managed in line with the financial and operational requirements of the Agency.
Maintaining cordial relationships with superiors and subordinates to achieve set objectives.
Achieving organizational targets as defined by set objectives. .


2. DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL SERVICES - December 2013 – February 2015. Defence Intelligence Agency – Nigeria.
Responsibilities; Responsible for executing the Technical Support strategy and objectives of the Agency. Responsible for advising the Chief Executive (Chief of Defence Intelligence) on equipment budgeting, equipment procurement and global best practice for maintaining equipment in the Agency’s inventory.
Duties;
Reporting to the Chief of Defence Intelligence, the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Technical Services include:
Developing and achieving Technical Support objectives and goals to support the organizational vision.
Managing and directing a team of Technical Support staff.
Leading the development of the vision and strategy for the maintenance team.
Ensuring targeted service and performance standards are achieved or exceeded.
Executing plans and initiatives that exceed organizational expectations via phone, email and web; resulting in increased user satisfaction that translates to lower attrition and higher productivity.
Executing technical projects in synergy with other companies or organizations.
Succession planning, training practices and cross-functional corporate initiatives.
Establishing and managing communication channels within and among departments; being the liaison to provide feedback to the Senior Management Team.
3. DIRECTOR, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY-April 2010–December 2013. Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force – Nigeria.
Responsibilities; Established and managed the Nigeria Air Force Information Technology services and participated in the development of long-term strategy for the future direction of Information Technology. Led the Information Technology team in the development and implementation of information systems across Nigerian Air Force formations, including working with key developers and customers.
Duties; Reporting to the Chief of Policy and Plans and the Chief of Logistics, the duties and responsibilities of the Director Information Technology include:
Creating and maintaining Information Technology strategy in line with current best practice in the field of IT.
Ensuring that Information Technology is in-line with agreed Policies and Strategies.
Ensuring that policies and strategies are in compliance with government legislation and Air Force standards.
Developing and managing of projects such as the Personnel Management System, Stock/Inventory Management System and Aircraft Maintenance System.
Managing the day-to-day operations of IT systems to ensure that deadlines, budgets and service levels are met and results delivered.
Managing the annual Information Technology budget and any associated funds.
Organising and implementing servicing and support of all IT systems to agreed service level standards.
Develop, maintain and implement measures designed to safeguard the Information Technology assets of the Nigerian Air Force in the event of major incidents or disasters.
